SMILE (Sellwood-Moreland Improvement League) is one of 94 neighborhood associations recognized by the City of Portland. SMILE is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and unique among other Portland neighborhood associations. Unique as we are the oldest and original PDX neighborhood association and the only one to own property and operate a business.

When you reserve Oaks Pioneer Church or the SMILE Station, all the proceeds from your rental aid in the preservation and care of the Historic OPC and the Station, and directly into the local community to fund events such as:
The home of SMILE
For over 30 years, the SMILE Station has been the home base for SMILE Board & Committee Meetings as well as hosting SMILE Sponsored community events.
The SMILE Board is made up of local residents who dedicate time out of their busy lives in an effort to strengthen, support and form connections within the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhoods.
