The SMILE Station is a private event rental in SE Portland perfect for parties and celebrations. All private functions include access to the SMILE Station Main Floor amenities including tables, chairs, our industrial kitchen, two ADA restrooms, projector system, cozy fireplace for warmer months, and our antique baby grand piano.

Rental fees are due at the time of booking. THERE ARE NO HOLDS.
Security Deposits and Cleaning fees are due 7-10 days prior to events.
All day rentals provide access from 7AM – 11PM.
Cleaning fees depends upon number of guests. $150 (0-35) $200 (36-90)
Day of Event Insurance is only required when Alcohol is served. You can view our alcohol policy and get more info about Day of Event insurance on our FAQ page.
Our maximum standing room capacity is 90 persons.
Our maximum dining capacity is approximately 75.
High demand dates, for example 5/25/25 or 7/7/27, require a full day rental.
Observed Holiday rentals require an additional fee of $150.
Minimum rentals (4 hours) reserved on Saturdays & Sundays are limited to either a 10AM-2PM or 3PM-7PM reservation window.
Your rental includes our outdoor space! When you reserve the Station, you aren’t just reserving the building, you are reserving the grounds too! This means, in warmer months, your guests can enjoy games and meals outdoors on the grounds. You can hire a food or dessert truck to provide your guests with their meal or snacks. There are so many great ways to use the spaces here!

The Hainley-Leipzig is a convenient and private space on the lower level of the SMILE Station that can or during your reception, use as a kid’s room during the party where you can give them a pizza and a movie, a new mom’s quiet space for nursing, or even a space for changing clothes or to just step away from the festivities occasionally when sensory overload happens.
